Avonvale Minis & Juniors

Avonvale RFC is extremely proud to boast a thriving mini and junior rugby section,

with over 140 Boys & Girls being coached and playing rugby from Under 6 right through

the age groups.

Humble beginnings with just a few children has developed substantially and

Avonvale Rugby Club have become the club for mini and junior rugby in the catchment

area picking up children from:

Bathford, Bathampton, Batheaston, Monkton Farleigh and Box

among many of the other surrounding villages.

We feel a tremendous excitement at the club that this resurgence in child numbers can

give us a genuine opportunity to enhance and develop our village club, encourage and nurture the youngsters to develop a love of Rugby and it's values, and create a legacy

to benefit our villagers and village clubs for generations to come.

If your child is at the right age for one of our groups then we'd love to hear from you

so you can bring them along for a taster session.

Age groups are set by school years and therefore your child will be in the age group for his age

at midnight on the 31 Aug for the coming season i.e. a child that turns 8 years old on the 1st of

September (or after) plays as an under 8 for that season.

The under 6s include the under 5s’.
